David
is the senior adjuster in Nanaimo. He has been actively
involved as an independent adjuster for the past
39 years and holds professional designations - CIP,
FCIAA and CLA. David specializes in property losses,
environmental claims, marine damage losses to pleasurecraft,
yachts, floats, wharves and marine aquaculture products
in addition to logging and forestry claims. David
is a past president of the Canadian Independent
Adjusters Association.
Doug
is a member of the government controlled Mediation
Roster Society. He has conducted in excess
of 1,000 mediations since he began specializing
in this area 12 years ago. His main focus
is confined to personal injury, having over 35 years
related experience as a claims professional.
Gayle's
insurance career began when she joined Continental
Insurance, Calgary Claims Department. She
worked as a telephone adjuster, then for various
independent adjusting firms and even spent two years
as an agent before joining Coast Claims Nanaimo
in 1989. Although an accomplished property
adjuster, Gayle deals strictly with liability claims.
On a personal note, Gayle is a voracious reader
and also spends part of each day with her lovely
Dutch warmblood mare "Caprice" pursuing her training
in dressage.
Kelly
joined Coast Claims Service Ltd. in 1991 and is
a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP). He specializes
in residential and commercial property losses including
major fires, bodily injury, property damage claims
and automobile appraisals.
Nick
Janaszak joined the Coast Claims team in 2006. He
holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English
and minor in Liberal Arts. Nick is a level II adjuster
and is currently working on completing his CIP.
Nick
specializes in residential and commercial property
damage claims as well as marine damage surveys to
pleasurecraft, PWC's and houseboats. He also
handles vacation trailer claims, as well as automobile
and ATV damage appraisals.
Verdonna
started in the insurance industry first in sales,
working in that department for three years before
transferring to the claims department where she
worked for three years as a telephone adjuster and
then 23 years as a company road adjuster, handling
property claims covering an area from Duncan to
Campbell River.
Verdonna
has been with Coast Claims since 2006, handling
property claims and reporting to insurance companies
on a timely basis. She finds her job interesting
and enjoys working with the insureds.
Dan
joined Coast Claims Service Ltd. in August of 2008.
He has been a licenced all lines adjuster since
1974. Dan has handled many major residential, municipal
and commercial liability, property, automobile and
bodily injury losses.
While
most of Dan's career has been as an independent
adjuster, he also spent four years as an intermediate
and senior claims examiner with a major insurer.
Bill
began his insurance career in 1982 with State Farm
Insurance in Calgary where he remained 14 years
as a senior field claims adjuster, before becoming
an independent and starting his own small adjusting
business, specializing in automobile and liability
BI investigations and claims.
Bill
relocated to Nanaimo area in 2004 with wife Gwen,
a registered nurse and their cat, Tommy.
Bill is an avid golfer and skier.
