Darwyn J. Stickle , BA, CRM, FCIP
Darwyn’s adjusting career began in the Vancouver office of Wellington Insurance in 1986.
He moved to Victoria in 1988, joined Coast Claims Service later that year, and is now company president, and senior partner.
Darwyn, who is a Certified Risk Manager and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional, adjusts all lines of property and casualty claims, with an emphasis on large property losses.
Allan Hart, BBA, CIP, CRM

Allan began his career with Coast Claims a year after graduating university with a business degree in 1995. : He is now a senior partner and the company’s vice-president.
He is a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and a Member of the (IIMS) International Institute of Marine Surveying.
He specializes marine losses for commercial vessels, pleasure craft and wharves including damage surveys and detailed investigations.
He is also recognized for his skills in handling larger property and casualty losses including complex liability investigations.
David Cherrie, CIP
David has been an independent adjuster for 24 years. Prior to joining Coast Claims he spent 13 years as a branch manager for a national independent adjusting company, and he is now a partner in Coast Claims.
A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), David specializes in complex property, environmental, liability, bodily injury, transportation and cargo losses.
Yako Topalovic CIP
Yako Topalovic moved from Ontario to join Coast Claims in December of 2012. He started his claims career fourteen years ago as a staff adjuster with a national insurer, and became an independent adjuster in 2002. He is now a partner in Coast Claims.
Yako has expertise with all types of residential and commercial property losses, as well as General Liability claims. In Ontario, he handled complex automobile injury files, which also included involvement in mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Yako, like Coast Claims, is committed to maintaining the industry’s highest standards of service and professionalism.
Shannon McRae, CIP
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Shannon joined Coast Claims Services as an administrative assistant in 2006, and shortly showed such interest and aptitude that there was no stopping her from becoming an adjuster.
Shannon enjoys all lines of claims and, since 2013 has managed our growing Third Party Administration division. Her diligence and attention to detail make her a real asset to our Victoria office and our company. Shannon, like Coast Claims, is dedicated to the principles of quality work and outstanding customer service.
John has over 30 years in the insurance industry, most of them spent with I.C.B.C., where he started his career as a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster, moved on through the posts of Claims Manager and Claims Centre Manager, and eventually became the Director of Claims Field Operations. He also has a background in Retail Management and Human Resource Management.
John specializes in serious injury claims, including head injuries, fatalities, and catastrophic injury cases. His wealth of knowledge and outstanding professionalism make him a great member of our Coast Claims team.
Ian was born and raised in Victoria, and joined Coast Claims in 2013, after thirty years as, first, an automotive repair shop owner, and subsequently as manager at local marine repair facilities. Ian’s background gives him outstanding expertise in marine claims, and he has also shown a particular aptitude for property, pre-construction surveys, heavy equipment losses, and boiler and machinery claims.
Ian is presently working towards his CIP designation.
Kerry Tomczak joined Coast Claims in December, 2014, after a twenty-three year career with ICBC, starting as a claims adjuster and ending as the manager of a unit of litigation adjusters.
Kerry specializes in bodily injury losses, including the most complex of those, but has expanded his range and expertise in all lines of claims.
Renay started working for ICBC in 1982 shortly after she moved to Vancouver Island. She was there for over 29 years as a claims adjuster, specializing in auto and bodily injury claims. She also has experience as a broker and joined Coast Claims earlier this year. Renay, like Coast Claims, is committed to professionalism and outstanding customer service
Katie was born and raised on Vancouver Island, she joined Coast Claims Services as an administrative assistant in 2014, with the hopes of advancing her career and becoming an insurance adjuster.
Prior to coming to Coast Claims, Katie worked for over four years at a Restoration Company. She began as a dispatcher, then progressed to becoming the only estimator, as well as being the project coordinator. Katie, like Coast Claims, is dedicated to the principles of quality customer service and hard work.
Katie is presently working towards her CIP designation.
Kelly Kosolofski BA
Kelly has worked as an Independent Adjuster for over 20 years, getting his start in the business in 1997 with a national adjusting company after having achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. Victoria has been his home for the past 17 years.
He has a strong background in multi-lines adjusting and has handled losses of all sizes. Kelly has extensive catastrophe experience including work in the Bahamas for Hurricanes Floyd, Frances, Jean, Ivan, Wilma, Sandy, Irene and Matthew as well as domestically with the 2003 Okanagan Mountain Park fire.
Trevor Morley CD, JD
Trevor is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and is licensed to practice law. As a litigation lawyer, Trevor handled matters based on professional negligence, occupiers’ liability and governance issues. Trevor applies his legal expertise and skills in investigation, negotiation and advocacy to all his work.
